Seco-Carboloy's New CrownLoc(TM) 7xD Drill

Deep hole drilling precision and performance without the added costs

Warren, Mich., May 14, 2003 - Seco-Carboloy has added to its highly successful CrownLoc(TM) system with a new 7xD for deep-hole drilling. Like the entire CrownLoc line, this new drill offers all the precision of a brazed drill without the added effort and cost.

CrownLoc allows users to drill a new hole using the same drill body by just changing the solid carbide crown. The CrownLoc system is based upon a patented interface of interlocking V-grooves that ensures rigidity and exact repeated positioning of each crown. The locking pattern allows only one correct fit - which is easy to find once a crown is mounted on the pull rod. Further, when the rod is tightened by the clamping screw, it exerts such a strong hold that the crown/body combination can withstand the same high feeds as a brazed drill.

The 7xD drill is available in P-geometry for steel, K for cast iron and M for drilling in stainless steel and high temperature alloys. It comes in a range of diameters from .472 in. to .787 in.
