Dortronics' Door Prop Alarm Integrates Intelligent Features
Unit Designed With Programmable Operation for Added Efficiencies.
Las Vegas, NV (April 6, 2005) - Dortronics Systems is displaying its new 7200-PT Series Door Prop Alarm here at ISCW 2005 - the perfect venue to demonstrate the value of audible alarms in noisy environments. 7200-PT Series Door Prop Alarm provides an audible alarm if a door is not closed within a specified time period or is forced open, and can also output an alarm condition to other monitoring systems. The programmable features allow the unit to be custom configured for a wide range of stand-alone and system integrated applications.

Opening an alarmed door activates the PT time unit which provides a mirrored door switch output to an access system. After the allotted door open time has expired, a local warning tone begins to remind the user to close the door. If the door is not closed before the end of the warning period, then the door prop alarm sequence is activated and a steady alarm alert is emitted. The door "open" time can be preset from 5 seconds to 90 minutes and the local warning tone can be preset from 0 seconds to 5 minutes.
Additional features of the 7200-PT Series Door Prop Alarms includes: dual voltage power lock that accepts either 12 or 24 V DC; reduced wiring requirements that allow installers to use the same wiring as a non-alarmed door (i.e. single pair from access control lock relay output); fewer switches required with dedicated on-board relay mirrors output of door status to access control system; a built-in interface for Dortronics 7600 annunciator/controller; multiple outputs (SPDT and Form "C" dry contacts, Dortronics 7600 annunciator/controller output); automatic alarm shunt with a single REX input and signal output; manual or automatic alarm reset timed with automatic reset (5 seconds to 90 minutes) and a manual reset with key switch; plus an LED indicator for instant status verification. The 7200-PT Series Door Prop Alarm is also available in single or double gang wall plate designs (7286 Series).
