Extreme Releases PX100 Speed Dome for Night Vision
Vancouver, Canada - Extreme CCTV, (TSX: EXC) the security industry's leading supplier of active-infrared night vision surveillance equipment, announces the release of the PX100, the only pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) speed dome designed specifically for absolute night vision performance under infrared illumination.
While conventional speed domes are designed primarily for their PTZ functionality, Extreme's team of research engineers have developed the PX100 for outstanding night vision when used in conjunction with Extreme's award-winning infrared illuminators. In test trials with dual SuperLED IR Illuminators, the PX100 delivered 600ft (~180m) of high resolution night vision surveillance video. Whereas typical day-night speed domes would produce no usable picture under identical conditions, the PX100 provides irrefutable video surveillance for critical surveillance applications, even at night. The PX100's performance at 600ft (~180m) was achieved at a full 30 frames per second, eliminating the jerky, blurred images typical of conventional speed domes using frame integration.
Featuring mechanical IR-cut filter technology, the PX100 has a 23x LXR zoom module for vivid daytime color and superior performance under infrared illumination. As with all Extreme LXR CCDs, the optical performance is outstanding, resulting in images with low-smear, low-streak and excellent anti-blooming characteristics.
