The new PDFTiger application will enable Windows users to create a PDF document from the files made in other applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, as well as TXT and other printable documents. The program can also combine multiple pictures into a single PDF with a manageable size that makes it incredibly convenient to deliver the content by email. The ability to combine images into one file is great for the multipage portfolio or photo album. The PDF output may contain pictures in these formats: BMP, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIF, TIFF. The program will also enable the user to save PDF files as Word documents, retaining the layout, fonts, formatting and tables. Other formats for export include TXT, HTML, Flash and images.
The program ties all conversion options into a single interface with buttons, each of which opens its own wizard. For example, clicking on CONVERT PDF TO WORD button opens the wizard for saving a PDF as Word document. Using the wizard, one adds a file, selects output format and folder and gets the file converted. In addition to single files, the user can add a folder with files for batch conversion. Once files are added, it's possible to delete unnecessary ones, move a file up or down the file list. A click on CREATE PDF FILE starts the conversion. From there, the process is completely automatic. After conversion, the output folder opens automatically, and the user can view, edit or copy the content of a newly-converted document for reuse in own documents.
