The ThinkPad® X4 Dock provides flexible expansion and cable management for users of ThinkPad X40 Series systems. Compatible with ThinkPad X40 Series ultraportable notebooks and the new ThinkPad X41 Tablet notebook, this dock boasts rich function and a compact design. With the X4 Dock, accessing peripheral devices and storage media is easy.
Features and benefits
Integrated key lock secures your ThinkPad X40 Series notebook or tablet in the dock, while an optional cable lock slot allows you to affix the dock to your workspace.
Modular bay supports Ultrabay(TM) Slim options, including the DVD-ROM, CD-RW/DVD-ROM combination, and Multi-Burner Plus drives. It can also be used with the ThinkPad Second Hard Drive Adapter to house an additional HDD.
Standard ports: Three USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45), modem (RJ-11), serial, parallel, one PS/2® for mouse or keyboard, VGA for monitor, and power:
USB 2.0 ports operate at USB 1.1 for systems that do not support USB 2.0.
Gigabit Ethernet port operates at 10/100 for systems that do not support Gigabit Ethernet.
PS/2 port supports Y cable for simultaneous use of PS/2 keyboard and mouse.
Two integrated speakers offer stereo sound.
Dock design accommodates the hinge on the ThinkPad X41 Tablet system so you can alternate between portrait and landscape operating modes without repositioning the system on the dock.
Ergonomic design provides a comfortable typing angle.
A 56 watt ac adapter is included.
Key prerequisites
The ThinkPad X4 Dock is compatible with all ThinkPad X40 Series systems, including the ThinkPad X41 Tablet notebook. It is not supported on other notebook systems.
