Press Release Summary:
Lab-Crest® Midi-Dist System allows users to downscale EPA Method 350.1 for ammonia and Method 420.4 for phenol. With 90% reduction in sample size and reagents used, it meets EPA targets for reducing waste when conducting environmental analyses. It can distill up to 10 samples at once. Detection range for ammonia is 0.01 to 2.0 micro g/L; phenol is 2.0 to 500.0 mg/L. Applications include determination of ammonia or phenol in water and wastewater.

Midi Distillation System For Ammonias And Phenols Reduces Distillation Time Up To 50%
The Lab-Crest® Midi-Dist System for ammonias and phenols is designed to provide savings in time and analytical costs by downsizing and simplifying preparation of samples. The system allows users to safely and confidently downscale EPA Method 350.1 for ammonia and Method 420.4 for phenol. With 90% reduction in sample size and reagents used, the Lab-Crest Midi-Dist enables users to meet EPA targets for reducing waste when conducting environmental analyses. The reduced volume, precise heat control and specially designed glassware allow for speedy setup, run time and cleanup. Suitable for determination of ammonia or phenol in drinking water, ground water, surface water, saline water, domestic wastewater, and industrial wastewater, the Midi-Dist System reduces distillation time up to 50%.
The Lab-Crest Midi-Dist System can distill up to 10 samples at once. Detection range for ammonia is 0.01 to 2.0 micro g/L, and for phenol, it is 2.0 to 500.0 mg/L. The system's extremely small footprint (UNDER 10" x 30") allows up to 80% reduction in space required when cumbersome macro apparatus is replaced. The Lab-Crest Midi-Dist has a case weight of only 18 pounds and is completely portable, allowing for highly efficient use of the bench top.
