Hernon Introduces New Sure Shot Dispensing Valves

Complete line of Hernon Sure Shot valves solve common dispensing problems

Orlando, FL December 12, 2003: Hernon has introduced a comprehensive line of valves for the automated application of materials including adhesives, sealants, greases, inks and many other liquid products. The line of Sure Shot valves are manufactured from various substrates for difficult-to-dispense products including cyanoacrylate and anaerobic adhesives. Models feature lightweight anodized aluminum construction, Teflon dispensing bodies, positive shutoff, and standard Luer lock and NPT connections. The complete line of Sure Shot valves are designed and built by Hernon to be incorporated with Hernon dispensing equipment as well as dispensers from other suppliers.

After using valves from other manufacturers in dispensing systems, Hernon learned the shortcomings and problems associated with liquid dispensing valves. Using this knowledge, Hernon's team of adhesive specialists designed and built the line of Sure Shot valves from scratch. They chose the most durable, yet lightweight, materials available including aluminum and Teflon. Then each model of valve was tested with a wide-range of products in Hernon's laboratory as well-as field tested in the rigors of production environments. The results are a line of advanced dispensing valves that meet the demands of today's production environment.

Hernon Sure Shot valves were designed as part of Hernon's single-source responsibility philosophy to producing bonding and sealing solutions. This way Hernon is able to design a complete system of not only an adhesive or sealant, but also a system of dispensing the product in the final production environment. This prevents the finger pointing that can take place when separate suppliers are utilized for the adhesive or sealant and dispensing system.

Features of the Sure Shot valves include positive shutoff, which means that when control air pressure is lost, material will not flow from the dispensing valve. Snuff back which draws a small portion of the dispensed material back into the valve to prevent thixotropic materials from stringing. Use of Teflon on some models to allow dispensing of anaerobic adhesives, without the daily teardown and cleaning necessary with most dispensing systems.

For more than 25 years, Hernon Manufacturing has been a multi-national innovator in the production of high performance adhesives, sealants, and precision dispensing solutions. Learn more about Hernon Manufacturing at hernonmfg.com.
