DULUTH, Georgia - June 5, 2002 - The new Pro-Meter VDK dispensing system from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq - NDSN) uses compact gear technology to deliver precise, consistent material application. The Pro-Meter VDK system is ideal for dispensing high viscosity silicones, butyls, epoxies and hot melt materials in form-in-place gasketing, bonding and sealing operations.
The Pro-Meter VDK system is a closed-loop, positive-displacement, spur gear pump system that utilizes an encoder-feedback servo drive within the Pro-Meter VDK module. Material delivery using positive-displacement gear metering limits pressure differentials, making the system capable of ±1 percent dispense control accuracy.
The Pro-Meter VDK design positions the module close to the point of application minimizing the effects of pressure and viscosity changes. The close proximity also delivers faster response
times for changing flow rates and output.
Standard Pro-Meter VDK models offer output ranges from 0-15 cc per minute using the smallest displacement pump and from 0-600 cc per minute with the largest displacement pump. Mounting configurations provide for either direct or remote gun module attachment.
