Two High-Performance Advanced Disk Drive Modules Offer New Options for the 7133 Serial Disk System Models D40 and T40

Overview
Two new ultra-high performance Advanced Disk Drive modules are
now available for the IBM 7133 Serial Disk System Models D40 and T40. Running at 15,000 rpm, these 36.4 GB and 72.8 GB drives are
among the fastest in the industry. Using these drives can help improve overall data throughput of the 7133 system with reduced disk-access latency.

Flexibility has always been a key attribute of the 7133 Serial Disk System, and these new drives continue to enhance this legacy. You can intermix any combination of drive sizes and/or speed ranges to populate a 7133 with 4 to 16 drives. Storage capacity can be provided from approximately 36 GB to over
2.3 TB per enclosure with any combination of either:
o 10,000 rpm drives, available in capacities of 18.2 GB, 36.4 GB, 72.8 GB, or 145.6 GB
o 15,000 rpm drives, now available in capacities of 36.4 GB or 72.8 GB
