Introducing New VGA Digital Video Recorder

Digital Video Recorders have long been seen as a powerful alternative to conventional recording equipment (VHS tapes) and praised for their quality, versatility and reliability. DVR's have many benefits including their ability to record for long periods. Digital recorders also give you perfect picture pause with no distortion - images you see are much clearer. So the details you need - aces, numbers, small objects - are sharper than with a VCR. Moreover digital video does not degrade - the image stays the same no matter how many times it is copied. DALSA Coreco's new VGA DVR-1600 is an industrial digital recorder capable of recording full resolution color analog VGA signals at screen resolutions up to 1600x 1200 @ 60 Hz. Color is digitized at full 24 bit resolution (8 bits/channel). The digitized data is then encoded, compressed and stored to a hard drive. Video sessions can be replayed at full resolution through a monitor attached to the DVR as well as on another workstation using the appropriate codec. Video sessions can be archived to external media such as a USB hard drive, DVD, or flash drive. A DVD resolution playable session can be automatically created with a single button backup with an optional custom lead-in and lead-out. These DVD sessions are in standard DVD format and can be replayed in consumer DVD players that support playback of recordable media. The DVR-1600 can be configured as either a single or dual monitor system. In a single monitor installation signals from the source are not interrupted during recording. Once installed, the DVR-1600 is placed between the source (workstation) and the workstation monitor. In this location the DVR can pass through the workstation display, as well as provide playback of a recording directly to the workstation monitor, providing a single monitor solution. In a dual monitor configuration, video playback and menu selections are displayed on the secondary monitor. The primary monitor is not affected. DVR-1600 Key Pad - Easy to use menu options Applications The DVR-1600 can be used anywhere high resolution DVR images need to be recorded and stored with low degradation for future playback or review. Often the lower fidelity recordings offered by a scan-converted technique are not adequate. With the DVR-1600 a multi-pass digitization technique is employed to digitize the input at high spatial resolutions with little loss of fidelity. Small fonts and high frequency image data when replayed are almost indistinguishable from the original. Typical applications include: Medical workstations (procedure recording) Air traffic control workstations Training and simulation Security workstations Equipment testing / Software validation
