New Non-Contact Infrared Temperature Sensor with an Ultra-Small Sensing Head Operates without Water Cooling

Mikron Infrared, Inc. has introduced The Model MI-500N, a digital non-contact infrared temperature sensor that is small, fast and highly precise and can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 185°F without water cooling. The MI-500N is ideal for semiconductor, glass, rubber, wood, paper, textile, ceramic, paint, asphalt, plastic thermoforming, dryer and infrared furnace applications.

The MI-500N can be equipped with two different sensor heads with a field of view of 10:1 or 2:1. An additional model, the MI-500 provides a built-in illuminated temperature display and three push buttons for adjustment of all parameters without external instruments

Some outstanding features of the MI-500N are:
o High accuracy and repeatability
o Measures temperature between -40°F and 1292°F (-40 to 700°C)
o Relay contact and alarm
o Switchable analog output (4-20mA, voltage, thermocouple)
o Digital RS232 or RS485 UPP® Output
o Built-in digital peak/valley storage
o Adjustable emissivity
