LSI Logic Delivers Ultra-Sleek LSI403US DSP to Enable Growing Voice Over WLAN Handheld Market

MILPITAS, Calif., Aug. 2 -- The DSP Product Division of LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE:LSI) today announced the LSI403US digital signal processor (DSP) in a 7 mm x 7 mm chip package. The latest addition to the ZSP(R) family of processor solutions, the LSI403US is a low- cost, low-power voice processor in an ultra-thin package that delivers the perfect mix of high performance and small footprint necessary in Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) applications such as cell phones, PDAs and other handheld devices.

The Z.Voice software library* of industry standard VoIP algorithms and the ultra- thin packaging allows system designers to benefit immediately from the LSI403US.
