INOVA's G3i System Goes Digital for More Flexibility and Better Subsurface Imaging

HOUSTON -- INOVA Geophysical announces the launch of G3i(TM) Digital, a new high-capacity, cable-based land seismic acquisition system that captures higher resolution, multicomponent data for enhanced imaging and improved characterization of the subsurface.

Built to handle the world's most rugged terrains, G3i Digital leverages the best of its analog version launched in 2012 with proven, reliable architecture, user-friendly operation and the most rugged casing on the market to provide contractors with efficient field productivity.  G3i Digital features digital multicomponent sensor support, and when combined with G3i NetLink(TM) and Shot Pro II Remote Encoder(TM) to communicate across obstacle-ridden terrains, provides the most flexible cable-based seismic data acquisition system available today.

By taking advantage of G3i's new digital sensor options to record high-density 3D and time-lapse 4D multicomponent data with VectorSeis® sensors, contractors are able to deliver improved subsurface imaging, capturing the full broadband seismic wavefield in unconventional terrains, oil sands and shale plays.

"INOVA has integrated the best from both our R&D experience and from our customers' equipment demands to integrate the most powerful features into this one product. G3i Digital is all-terrain and ideal for high-channel, high-density 3D operations that require continuous recording. The system was engineered with the quality, usability and durability our customers need to surpass today's toughest challenges," said Tim Hladik, Senior Vice President of Product Development, INOVA Geophysical.

Glenn Hauer, INOVA's President and CEO, commented, "We are fortunate that we get to work as closely as we do with our customers and constantly work to integrate their input into the technologies we build. That's why when they share, we listen. We're pleased to be able to meet the market's demand for a high-capacity recording system that offers the best digital multicomponent sensor in the industry for complex subsurface acquisition. G3i Digital, INOVA's newest data acquisition system, provides improved flexibility to our customers and better imaging for their customers."
