New Selco Digital Panel Meter Delivers Modular Flexibility, High-Visibility Display and Application Versatility
ORANGE, Calif - Oct. 24, 2002 - Selco Products has introduced the A5000 Digital Panel Meter, offering several significant advantages in one innovative meter. Its modular design uses interchangeable PC boards to provide a selection of seven output choices and 18 input choices. This modular approach enables Selco to maintain a stock of input and output boards for quick assembly based on each customer's requirements for typically next-day delivery. And, since the modules are factory set via DIP switch, there is no need for adjustment by the customer after receipt of the product.
The A5000 can measure virtually any signal and provides a bright, high-visibility digital display. This means that the same meter style can be used across any panel for aesthetics, but more importantly, for consistent readability. Front-panel membrane pads provide quick and easy setting adjustments. Two models are available, with and without display of setpoints.
These industry standard 1/8 DIN size meters include a 90-264VAC or 9-60VDC power supply. Output choices include none, HI & LO setpoint with 8 amp relays, analog signal, RS-232C and RS-485 - individually or in combination. Input choices include various ranges of DC voltage, DC current, AC current, AC voltage, resistance, temperature, frequency, strain and process measurement. Removable plug-in terminal connectors.
The main display for the A5000 is via red LED (14.2mm Height) with the subdisplay for setpoints (if selected) via green LED (8mm Height) with maximum of four digits and an overrange display (OL or -OL). Decimal point can be set to any digit position. Operating conditions are 0 to 50°C and 35 to 85% RH. Power consumption is approximately 4VA. Conversion rate is 12.5 times per second. Dimensions are 96mm(L) x 48mm(H) x 147.5mm(D)
with a weight of approximately 450g. The new modular units are immediately available in numerous configurations with varying pricing between $207.00 and $407.00, depending on options specified. Average list price for a standard unit with set point relays is $320.00.
