New Mitutoyo ID-N and ID-B Digimatic Indicators are Compact, and IP66 Protected to Resist Toughest Shop Environments
(Aurora, IL) Mitutoyo America Corporation announces availability of two new Digimatic Indicators. Both the ID-N Slim Type and the ID-B Back Plunger Digimatic indicators are IP66-rated and set new world standards for performance in applications that require taking accurate digital indicator readings in harsh manufacturing environments.
The Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 66 signifies that the new indicators' housings are sealed dust-tight and have also passed a test where water projected in powerful jets against the enclosure have no effect. IP66 certification means the new digital indicators are dust proof, chip proof, coolant-proof and virtually immune to the toughest conditions found on the production floor.
Both the ID-N and ID-B indicators feature housings only 1.38"/35mm wide (the world's narrowest digital indicator) and with flat sides that make it easy to install multiple units side-by-side as compared to round indicators.
The ID-N and ID-B Digimatic Indicators feature reversible LCD displays enabling flexible orientation for reading multiple measurements. Also to ease reading, the ID-B Back Plunger indicator's display faces upwards, an industry first.
The ID-N and ID-B Indicators employ the Mitutoyo Absolute® sensor which eliminates troublesome "origin set" during multipoint measurements. And these indicators can be used anywhere in the shop - because even when sprayed in coolant - they'll still deliver.
