Automated Dielectric Withstand Analyzers Featuring Voltages up to 20 KV AC or DC

The HypotMAX(TM) family includes 4 separate models meeting a variety of higher voltage Hipot testing needs.

Lake Forest, Illinois, November 2004 - Announced today by Associated Research, Inc., was the addition of the HypotMAX(TM) family of instruments to its product line. The HypotMAX product line includes new fully automated Dielectric Withstand analyzers that feature voltages up to 20 KV AC or DC. These testers were designed to provide higher output voltage for cable, wire, harness and electrical component testing. There are four models in the family, all of which provide technology and safety features not normally found in higher voltage testers. The Model 7705 is a 10 KV AC Hipot tester, model 7710 is a 15 KV DC Hipot tester, model 7715 is a 20 KV AC Hipot tester and model 7720 is a 20 KV DC Hipot tester. Manufacturers can now choose the exact voltage configuration to best meet their specific application.

Associated Research has taken the advanced technology they developed and applied it to these testers to provide more efficient and safer testing for high voltage applications. To enhance user safety all models include auto discharge and a remote safety interlock, both features limit an operator's exposure to high voltage.

All models are fully automated and come complete with RS-232 or GPIB automation interfaces. In addition the HypotMAX family includes advanced features such as Associated Research's patented SmartGFI® safety circuit and their patented Charge-LO and Ramp-HI systems. The HypotMAX models also feature simple menu control, 50 memory locations, and electronic ramp and dwell settings. Lastly, HypotMAX can be run with Autoware, Associated Research's exclusive instrument control software program. As with all of Associated Research instruments, the HypotMAX family will include safety agency listing making them the only instruments of this type to include safety agency listings.

HypotMAX also features;

Digitally Controlled Arc Detection

o Compact 19" Cabinet

o Built-in Security Settings

o Enhanced PLC Relay Control

o Line and Load Regulation

o No Load Setup
