Launch of Complete Diamond Blade Line Provides Solution for Every Application
Mount Prospect, Ill., October 26, 2004 - More than 60 blades of all sizes compile the first complete Diamond Blade Line offered by Bosch Power Tools and Accessories, a division of the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation. Combining Bosch patented manufacturing processes such as Laser Fusion(TM), the new line offers professionals up to 30-percent faster cut times and the longest blade life. And to prove how confident professionals should be, the new Laser Fusion line comes with an exclusive performance guarantee, unprecedented for the industry.
The Bosch Diamond Blade Line features 37 Segmented, 11 Turbo and 14 Continuous Rim blade designs, 62 total.
Segmented Blades
The entire Bosch segmented blade line covers a broad range of general purpose and specialty applications. Eight of the 37 blades boast the exclusive Bosch patented Laser Fusion manufacturing - a unique process that uses precise, laser-generated heat to fuse an exclusive mixture of synthetic diamonds and bonding material directly into the blade core. Another feature multiplying each blade's effectiveness includes the Bosch exclusive Progressive Segment Spacing. Every fifth segment is raised for more aggressive cutting while specially segmented gullets clear the cutting path to provide faster, cleaner and cooler cuts and decrease vibration and noise. The results: superior diamond retention, uniform diamond distribution, 30-percent faster cutting time and the industry's longest blade life.
Each Laser Fusion blade is so effective that Bosch will stand behind the line with an industry first performance guarantee. Turbo Blades
Each of the 11 Bosch turbo blades is designed to keep its edge in constant contact with the material for smoother action than a segmented blade. While the sintered continuous rim keeps the cutting process constant, the serrated edge limits full contact for cooler, faster cuts in materials such as brick pavers, marble, slate and fire brick. Blade diameters include 4, 4-1/2, 5, 7, 9, 12, and 14 -inches for small and large grinders, circular saws and cut off machines.
Continuous Rim Blades
Fourteen continuous rim blades feature an ultra smooth sintered rim to ensure constant contact with the material and chip-free results in both wet or dry use. The Bosch blades create exceptionally clean and precise edges in materials such as marble, ceramic tile, porcelain, slate, grade 5 tile and exterior tile. The line is available in 4, 4-1/2, 6, 7, 8 and 10 -inches.
For the first time, each blade is also color coded by application for the simplest selection process possible. In addition to the following color system, icons also appear on each blade package to designate the tool it should accompany.
Yellow for General Purpose - concrete, block, brick, stone, pavers, fire brick, steel reinforced concrete
Green for Tile - ceramic tile, porcelain, slate, marble, grade 5 tile, exterior tile
Gray for Hard Material - granite, aged concrete, brick pavers, steel reinforced concrete, stone flooring, 5000 PSI concrete
Red for Special Applications - asphalt, sandstone, green concrete, iron/rebar, marble, tuck-point mortar
