Small, Portable Submersible Dewatering Pump Recommended for Construction Site Service

A small, powerful submersible pump ideal for dewatering ditches, manholes, construction sites, small ponds, pools, and caissons has been introduced by ITT Flygt Corp., Trumbull, CT. Designated as model Ready 40, the pump is ideal for use by contractors. Weighing only 120 lbs and with a diameter of 11-1/2", the pump can be transported easily to any site. Despite its small size, the high-head model develops up to 110 feet of head, while the standard model pumps up to 440 GPM of liquid.

Ready 40, with a threaded 4-8" hose connection discharge, employs an alloyed cast iron impeller and a tough nitrile rubber liner, which protects against abrasive wear around the impeller. The pump is made out of aluminum, with stainless steel shaft, outer jacket, strainer, and fasteners.

The pump features two independent mechanical seals running in FDA approved non-toxic lubricant. The abrasion resistant tungsten carbide seal faces are designed for long life and minimal wear. A class H motor operating in air reduces motor drag, and keeps cool even under partial submergence conditions. The motor can deliver at least 10 starts per hour.

Further information about Flygt model Ready 40 is available from ITT Flygt Corp., 35 Nutmeg Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611.
