Despatch Industries Receives Aluminum Annealing and Aging Oven System Order from Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.

Minneapolis, Minn., U.S.A. - Despatch Industries, the world's leading thermal processing equipment provider for over one hundred years, proudly announces that the company has received an order from Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. Spirit AeroSystems is the world's largest independent supplier of commercial airplane assemblies and components, and a long-time customer of Despatch. Spirit has purchased a large aluminum annealing and aging oven with a custom process control system. The company will utilize the oven to heat treat aluminum parts for increased strength and ductility. Oven system delivery and installation is scheduled for December 2011.

"Despatch has a long history of providing critical heat processing equipment to Spirit AeroSystems," states Rolf Kragseth, Applications Engineer. "This order is a great win for Despatch. We worked very hard to create a custom oven system that would meet all of Spirit's oven and control system requirements and their critical lead time. We value our on-going partnership with Spirit and are pleased to have the opportunity to work with them again."

Despatch is also providing several additional components to the oven system, including a custom process control system, trucks and rails and a jib crane at the front and back of the oven to load and unload parts from the truck.
