Ricoh Introduces New Line of GelSprinter Desktop Color Printers
Solutions for Businesses Offer High-Quality, Cost-Effective Color Prints
LAS VEGAS, June 6 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced the Ricoh GX3000/GX3050N/GX5050N Desktop Color Printers. An extension to Ricoh's line of award-winning GelSprinter(TM) technology products, these new color printers provide businesses with a new printing alternative.
Featuring print speeds of 29 pages per minute (ppm) for the GX3000 and GX3050N models and 30 ppm for the GX5050N in both color and black and white, these printers are ideal business solutions. Another benefit the Ricoh GX3000/GX3050N/GX5050N printers provide is permanent print heads that lower the total cost of ownership for the life of the system. Additional cost-saving attributes include duplex printing mode, Level Color Mode and Energy Saver Mode, which together reduce the amount of paper and supplies used as well as keep operating and energy expenditures to a minimum.
Ricoh's GelSprinter technology uses fast drying viscous ink that does not smudge, blur or bleed and is waterproof. As a result, color print jobs come out vibrant with crisp text and high-quality graphics. Generating documents at a maximum 3600 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi), the Ricoh GX3050N/GX5050N comes standard with PCL5c/6 drivers and is network capable. These new durable printers enable businesses to produce professional quality prints of sales presentations, newsletters, marketing materials, etc., all in-house and for less money.
To ensure uninterrupted print jobs, the GX3000 and GX3050N come with a standard 250-sheet capacity paper tray, while the GX5050N offers double with a 500-sheet capacity tray. All units are also equipped with a multi-sheet bypass tray allowing users to print on various paper stocks and sizes, eliminating the need to refill the main tray and print at ease. Another user-friendly feature is the ability to manage the printers from a desktop, even when used as a network device.
