Algor V17 Features New AISC Code Checking

PITTSBURGH, PA - April 4, 2005 - ALGOR, Inc., a leading provider of design, analysis and simulation software, announced that its new software release, ALGOR V17, features all-new American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) code checking, tree support for surface and body loads, support for hyperfoam and anisotropic materials, rotating reference frames for modeling circulating flows, combined graph and result contour displays and much more.

"ALGOR V17's new AISC code checking helps facilitate the design of steel structures, made up of beams and trusses, and ensure code compliance to satisfy third-party design approval," said Juan Garcia, Engineering Director of Pipetech Design & Construction Ltd. in Basildon, Essex, United Kingdom. "It provides us with a powerful code-verification tool that makes our overall design process quick and efficient."

"Simply clicking on the model tree to select and modify surface and body loads is fast and easy," said Tommy Breaux, Vice President of Engineered Casting Repair Services, Inc./Metalock Corporation in Denham Springs, Louisiana. "Additionally, the capability to display graphs in the same window as result contours makes my presentations more vivid and effective. V17 allows me to display results exactly as I want in screen displays, animation files and HTML reports."

"ALGOR V17 provides a wide range of new and enhanced tools for design, analysis and results evaluation and presentation," said ALGOR Product Manager, Bob Williams.
