Decentralized Drives Made In Germany

Dynamic - compact - positioning! This is how the newly developed EC motor series made by Heidolph Elektro in Germany can be described best. The new series fits perfectly into the company's well-known gear motor program "HeiDrive" and completes the program with decentralized drives. Further characteristics of the new series named "EC-I"" are its enormous power density and an optimised degree of efficiency.
Core of the EC-I motors are an integrated 4-Q control and a built-in encoder. These features allow the drive to take over exact positioning tasks.
Two standard interfaces are available: an RS232 allows parameterisation and single applications. Furthermore, a CANopen for linked applications is at the user's disposal as well. The so-called Heidolph Application Tool, a software especially developed for the EC-I series, guarantees a fast, comfortable and simple commissioning of the motor unit for the customer.
Different plug entrances show SPS-compatible gauges for manual operation and security functions.
The motors can be ordered with a power output between 70W and 500W. Voltage is 24V to 48V. Continuous current stands at 15A and can be raised up to 30A for short time duty.
The EC-I series has already been presented to potential customers and received great interest. Due to this positive feedback, Heidolph is going to enhance the power spectrum of the series soon.
