DC500 Series - Electric Vehicle DC to DC Drive
Minarik Drives is pleased to introduce the DC500 Series drive. This PWM DC to DC drive was developed and designed for battery operated, electric vehicles with separately excited DC motors. The DC500 carries a variety of safety features, including runaway
and rollaway protection, battery under-voltage control, and protection from overheating. Programmable safety parameters are set via any terminal program on a Windows based
PC.
The DC500 drive heatsink has a temperature sensor that at 60°C triggers a warning signal along with automatic field current boosting and armature current cutbacks to help keep the drive below the shut down temperature of 85°C. The warning signal generates progressively faster beeps as the temperature increases beyond 60°C.
Packed with all the necessary features, the DC500 drive is the perfect solution for battery operated vehicle motor control. Typical applications include Golf carts, neighborhood
electric and robotic vehicles, and electric utility vehicles, carts and bikes.
