DC Electrical Receptacles Install 6 Times Faster with New, Exclusive Slide-Lok(TM) Ring
Designed For Fast Assembly Of 12V DC Receptacles
On OEM Electrical Panels & Vehicle Dashboards
The Marinco® Slide-Lok(TM) locking ring is a fast new way for OEMs to quickly install DC receptacles on panels or into dashboards. The exclusive Slide-Lok design allows the installer to slide the keyed ring past most of the receptacle's threads, until the ring is flush against the panel (or dashboard); a quarter turn then engages the ring's keys onto the receptacle's threads, pressing the ring firmly against the back of the panel.
On the other side of the panel, the retaining ring of the receptacle's watertight cap acts as a compression gasket to hold the receptacle permanently in place. OEM tests on high-vibration farm tractors confirm that properly installed Slide-Lok components will not loosen over time. Installers prefer the Slide-Lok ring because it reduces repetitive motions (hand turning) and it is much easier to use in hard-to-reach dashboard installations.
The new Slide-Lok locking ring is available exclusively on Marinco DC electrical receptacles.
The Marinco corrosion-resistant, marine-grade 12V DC receptacle (12VRC) and plug (12VPG) have a unique interconnecting system that securely locks the plug into the receptacle for a moisture proof connection with minimal current loss.
Four new products have recently been added to the Marinco DC product line. The new 12VRCTT (Thin Terminal) receptacle features two different-sized NEMA connection tabs to prevent misconnection during installation. The new 12VPG2A is a 12-volt plug fused at 2-amp instead of the 12VPG's standard 10-amp fuse. The new 24VRC receptacle and 24VPG plug have the same design features as the 12-volt products, but with a 24-volt rating and a red LED power indicator light (instead of green) on the plug.
