Company Introduces iSCSI Support and Entry-Level Data Replication Solution
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., April 3 / -- Xiotech® Corporation, a provider of data storage management solutions, today announced that iSCSI is now available for its Magnitude 3D® 3000s and Magnitude 3D 3000 storage systems. Midsized organizations now will be able to access their Magnitude 3D 3000 systems through both iSCSI and Fibre Channel connections, providing the ability to select the network connectivity that best meets their business needs.
Xiotech also announced its TimeScale(TM) 100 Series today. The entry-level solution offers a cost-effective data replication and protection solution tailored to meet the needs of midsized organizations.
Xiotech's iSCSI / Fibre Channel approach gives customers the flexibility to choose iSCSI, Fibre Channel or both for their Magnitude 3D systems. Fibre Channel connections provide high speed data transmission on a mature SAN technology, and iSCSI enables midsized organizations to realize the benefits of an IP based storage area network.

Current Magnitude 3D 3000e and 3000s customers will be able to upgrade their systems to add iSCSI interfaces to a system currently configured with Fibre Channel.
TimeScale 100 Meets Entry-Level Data Replication Needs
TimeScale 100 series products deliver asynchronous replication in a single appliance. The product is suited for organizations that need affordable and easy-to-manage replication technologies for data protection and recovery across distance. This flexible, scalable, heterogeneous data protection and disaster recovery solution enables proactive management and protection for data.
There are two TimeScale models available. The TimeScale Model 100 provides replication support for up to five servers and can be upgraded to Model 150, which provides replication support for configurations with more than five servers. TimeScale 100 is offered in addition to the existing TimeScale 600, which provides organizations with a high-end, rapid response system for protecting data.
Both iSCSI for the Magnitude 3D 3000 and the TimeScale 100 Series products are currently available from Xiotech.
