Vision Components announces the MiniScan-Bbox reader for the automotive, electronic, aerospace, pharmaceutical and packaging industries.
MiniScan-Bbox is the only all-in-one Data Matrix reader with wash-down save housing. The design addresses the flexible networking requirements of the industries. The compact unit can be delivered with built-in ProfiBus, CanBus, InterBus, Ethernet, RS232, Digital IO networking, which appears to be a unique advantage of the unit.
The extremely robust, fully integrated, plug-n-play Data Matrix Reader works with a wide variety of flat and curved surfaces.
Omni directional, size indifferent reading detects code sizes up to 26 x 26 cells at a rate up to 10-20 ms. The reading is nearly independent of brightness and contrast, or ambient light and works with dark on bright, or bright on dark codes.
Live image is available through a VGA connection, making the setup procedure a simple task.
The MiniScan-Bbox decoder can also be customized for specific applications through changes to its optics and/or illumination.
The MiniScan Bbox reader enciphers the code with high reliability, whether the Data Matrix is a direct mark on the product itself, or is laser etched; chemical etched, or is printed.
The automatic teach function, and needed optics and illumination, are incorporated into the small-size protective housing, making the resulting reader as easy to place in operation as conventional one-dimensional bar code readers. Progressive scanning and flexible image capture triggering
enable codes in motion to be read reliably.
Powered by a nominal supply voltage of 24 VDC and specifically designed for rugged industrial applications, the MiniScan-Bbox supports full-frame integration/image acquisition, program-
controlled and external triggering, and both high (down to 1/4000 of a second) and low speed (up to 4 seconds with adjustable integration times) shuttering operations.
