Offers Native Integration With Hyperion System 9, SAP-R/3 and SAP-BW

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 24 -- Certive Corporation, a provider of a technically innovative service-oriented data integration platform, today announced a new version of its key platform products -- Certive Server and Certive Studio. Server and Studio version 3.1 extend Certive's powerful OLAP integration capabilities with native MDX support for Hyperion Essbase and SAP-BW data warehouses. In addition, version 3.1 adds support for SAP-R/3, XML and web services data sources.

"Certive represents a generational shift in how large enterprises will construct and maintain data and analytic infrastructures for applications," stated Robert Gersten, chief development officer at Hyperion Solutions Corporation. "Certive's model-driven platform approach and native integration with Hyperion System 9 Essbase delivers unprecedented agility and value."

The new version of Server and Studio speeds time to deployment, connects to even more high-value data sources and enhances the performance of front-end business intelligence tools and composite applications. New features include:

-- By generating native and optimized MDX to the Hyperion System 9 Essbase analytics engine, Certive supports multi-cube joins without loss of semantic fidelity.
-- Certive's optimization engine utilizes the semantic relationships across a variety of data sources, enabling users to browse relationships among the published metadata elements of a model.
-- Support for new data sources, including XML, web services and a host of others.

"Native connectivity and optimization for Hyperion System 9 Essbase, SAP-R/3, SAP-BW and Oracle Fusion Web Services provides a compelling platform for building analytic applications," said Madhukar Govindaraju, senior vice president of engineering at Certive. "Key benefits to customers include predictable query response times via a tunable materialization technology and enterprise security, scalability and performance. We have a long-term commitment to integrating with Hyperion's analytics engine and Foundation Services, including universal data access, BPM Architect and the BPM Catalog components."

Version 3.1 of Certive Server and Certive Studio is available now and is priced by user and concurrent sessions for maximum deployment flexibility in grid-enabled or distributed environments. Pricing starts at $32,500. Complex, high-end deployments can cost in the range of $350,000.
