Multi-purpose Portable Data Communication Tester
Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has announced the release of its multi-purpose portable data communication tester, which is intended for the creation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of digital networks. It is used to carry out both framed and unframed tests on various equipment such as primary multiplexers, digital cross connects, automatic protection switches and circuits operating at speeds between 50bit/s and 2048bit/s.
This multi-purpose data communication tester, modelCE5009, supports synchronous or asynchronous data transmission and G.821, G.826 and frame analysis. It also provides an error analysis function to display histograms for errors or alarms. This portable tester integrates various interfaces including V.24, V.35, V.11, X.21, G.703 Co-dir 64kbit/s and G.703-2Mkbit/s for data exchange and has accommodations for future interfaces. The multi-purpose tester can be used for both offline tests of primary multiplexers on G.703-2M unframed interfaces and online tests on G703-2M framed interfaces. It generates and monitors PCM30, PCM30 CRC, PCM31 and PCM31 CRC frame structures on G.703-2Mbit/s. In addition, measurement results can be stored in its onboard memory.
