Original Press Release:

New Digital Capture Card for the CompactPCI/PXI Platform

Montreal, Canada (December 1, 2003) - Gage Applied Technologies, Inc., is pleased to announce the release of a CompactPCI/PXI version of its top performance digital capture card. The new CompuScope 3200C effectively expands the testing capabilities of Gage's measurement solutions by enabling logic analyzer functionalities, mixed-mode test and measurements, as well as impulse-response testing applications.

The CompuScope 3200C features 100 MHz digital capture for 32 bits wide words. The card can also selectively handle words of 8 or 16 bits, making the most flexible use of a total memory of 2 MB. Users must choose between single-ended (TTL or CMOS, software-controlled) or differential ECL signaling. PECL and LVDS are available upon request. The card also features External Clock and External Trigger capabilities. The CompuScope 3200C packs all of this power into a single slot of a 6U CompactPCI/PXI format.

"The CompuScope 3200C is a modular logic analyzer to which our customers only have to add their own analysis routines," explained Ã%ric Gillas, Gage's General Manager. He concluded: "This module, complementing Gage's popular line of digitizers with digital capabilities, is ideal for manufacturing test systems and automated test applications (ATE). Those are key markets for Gage, and the CS3200C is a critical component of our ongoing strategy to provide the most powerful T&M modules on the market."

The CompuScope 3200C comes equipped with the GageBit® control and data capture software. Gage also offers Software Development Kits (SDKs) for C/C++, MATLAB®, LabVIEW®, and LabWindows/CVI, with support for Windows 95/98, NT, XP and Windows 2000.

Availability and Pricing
The CompuScope 3200C is available immediately with a projected lead-time of 3 weeks ARO for small quantity orders. List price for the CompuScope 3200C is US$5,995. Volume-based discounts are available to qualified OEMs.
