Madison, WI - Nicolet Instrument Technologies, a leader in physical measurement instrumentation, announces the new, Odyssey XE data acquisition system, the successor to its highly successful Odyssey. It offers continuous recording at up to 1 MS/s on each channel, transient capture to 10MS/s, over 160GB of storage and a full family of signal conditioners in a convenient fully-integrated package.
Dedicated real-time hardware is combined with a Microsoft Windows user interface to guarantee gap-free recording at 24MB/s for almost two hours, or weeks to months at lower rates. A separate ADC and DSP for every channel provides exact phase matching, digital filtering, and intelligent triggering. A Pentium III processor runs powerful Nicolet analysis software or any other Windows applications, even while recording at full speed. Ethernet remote control software allows viewing of live waveforms anywhere on the network and sub-microsecond synchronization of any number of distributed Odysseys.
The turnkey recording capabilities are augmented by a full DCOM interface to allow custom user programming in Visual Basic, LabView, VEE or any other modern language.
