webDAQ/100(TM) Adds Graphing
September, 2002, Billerica, MA. webDAQ/100, the distributed data acquisition device with built-in web server and net arm processor, now comes with built-in graphing capability. Capital Equipment Corporation (CEC) has introduced version 2.1 firmware for webDAQ/100, adding this new capability to the unique web-enabled device, which combines data acquisition hardware, dual processors, 4 to 128 MB of RAM data storage, ethernet and serial interfaces with web server and FTP and e-mail capability.
The new graphing capability works in any web browser with a single click on the home page link that brings up a graph window. Graphs are easy to customize. A custom web page can display any combination of graphs and current-value displays, along with graphics or text. Customized graph options include auto or fixed axis scaling, assignments of channels to graphs, and trace and background colors.
If you need highly sophisticated graphs or additional data analysis, webDAQ/100 makes it easy by giving you links to download your data right into a spreadsheet or other software package.
Alarm Limit feature, available as an option allows webDAQ/100 to monitor up to two limit alarms per channel, display status on its built-in web home page, and drive a digital output for local alarm annunciation. Alarm events can be used to trigger automatic reports via FTP or e-mail, alerting you anywhere your e-mail can reach, even on a pager or handheld device.
