da Vinci Systems Certifies DVS-SAN


DVS Digital Video Systems is widely acknowledged as majorprovider of central storage systems for Digital Intermediates (DI).

After successful qualification testing, da Vinci Systems has certified the DVS-SAN central storage for their products Resolve and Revival. Hannover and Coral Springs. DVS and da Vinci today announce that the DVS-SAN is certified as central storage platform for da Vinci's products Resolve and Revival. The designs of both companies' systems, which are based on open standards, allowed them to test and confirm the
systems' connectivity in record time. With the DVS-SAN storage system, Resolve and Revival customers can manage their content in one central location, share content with other applications and connect to their content from every step of the workflow in real-time at SD, HD, 2K and even 4K.

Resolve is da Vinci's digital mastering suite, featuring da Vinci's Emmy® Award-winning image enhancement expertise and a familiar interface packaged with an industry-leading tool-set as well as nonlinear conforming tools. Revival is a high-end film restoration and re-mastering system with sophisticated tools to remove scratches, dirt and other undesired content. Both Revival and Resolve are data-hungry systems that will benefit from the real-time performance of the DVS-SAN.

The DVS-SAN is DVS' central DI storage equipped with the latest RAID controller technology and vast amounts of storage and bandwidth. It is custom-tailored towards collaborative workflows for DI with a demand for shared storage and real-time data access at SD, HD, 2K and 4K speeds. With Spycer®, the DVS-SAN also includes a content manager with powerful tools such as file browsing/search, metadata editing, fast file copy and volume defragmentation.
