Cylindrical Sensors that Handle the Toughest Applications
The 318 series distinguish themselves by their short, cylindrical M18 housings, large optical power, simple installation and their high degree of reliability. The 318 series is available in Through Beam, Retro-Reflective, Background Suppression or Diffuse-Reflective versions with optical ranges being adjustable by way of an easy to use potentiometer screw. Available in either rugged polyamid or stainless steel housing the IP 67 rated 318 series is perfect for use in severe environments including wash-down applications. The 318 series operates with a maximum switching frequency of 1000 Hz allowing for reliable detection even in fast processes. All sensors come standard with a 2 M cable or an M12 connector and have been EMC tested to operate reliably even in electromagnetically contaminated environments. With the optional mounting bracket the 318 series is able to replace a wide variety of todays most common, non cylindrical housing styles.
