Crossed Roller Slides offer load capacities to 3,141 lb.

Press Release Summary:

With stroke lengths from 0.5-9 in., miniature H12 Series provides straight line accuracy of .0001 in. per inch of travel, position repeatability of .0001 in., and .003 coefficient of friction. Bearing design consists of hardened steel rollers that are alternately crisscrossed with each other and move between set of 4 partially flat, parallel, hardened steel rods located on each side of base rail. Ranging from 1-14 in. long, slides have work surface areas from 0.56 x 2.9 in. to 2.62 x 14 in.

New Series of 46 Crossed Roller Slides Offer Dramatic Cost Savings

New Hyde Park, New York - A new series of 46 miniature crossed roller slides introduced by Techno-Isel feature compact size, load capabilities of up to 3,141 lbs, plus a price advantage of approximately 30% when compared with conventional types available. These precision slides offer a straight line accuracy of .0001" per inch of travel, position repeatability of .0001", plus a low coefficient of friction measuring typically .003. Typical applications include their use in wafer conveying systems, printed circuit board assembly tables, IC production machines plus a myriad of medical products.

Built for reliability and endurance these units, identified as the H12 Series, have an expected life of 10 million inches of travel at their rated load capacity and 100 million inches at 1/2 of their rated load capacity. A special feature is the built-in position stop to minimize shock even while operating at high cycling rates. Although physically resembling ball slides, their bearing design consists of hardened steel rollers which are alternately criscrossed with each other and move between a set of 4 partially flat, parallel, hardened steel rods located on each side of the base rail. Their larger contact surface, as compared to steel balls, enables the crossed roller design to carry larger loads and absorb greater load impacts than equivalent size ball slides especially when operating with fluctuating, vibrating or over-hanging loads.

Unit lengths range from 1" to 14" with stroke lengths ranging from 0.5" to 9". Work surface areas range from 0.56" X 2.9" to 2.62" X 14". Unit heights range from 0.32" to 1". Black anodized Aluminum is used for the sliding work surface and base, stainless steel for the end caps. Both the base and work surface feature threaded holes to facilitate mounting. All units are shipped completely assembled. Delivery is stock to 4 weeks. Prices start at $119.00 in single unit quantity with OEM and quantity price breaks available.
