Experian Launches ContractorCheck(SM) Pro and Teams with Angie's List®
New report package offers home-improvement professionals the details behind their ContractorCheck(SM) rating and a year of monitoring
COSTA MESA, Calif., March 17 -- Experian(R), a global information services company, today launched ContractorCheck(SM) Pro, a new combination report package that provides home-improvement professionals with convenient access to their ContractorCheck(SM) report. This includes a full year of business credit report access and monitoring to proactively manage their business profile. Experian also announced it is teaming with Angie's List(R) to make ContractorCheck products available to its consumers and contractors they rate.
"When Experian launched ContractorCheck this past December, we knew it would complement the services we offer our members because it enables homeowners to make a more informed hiring decision," said Angie Hicks, founder of Angie's List. "With ContractorCheck Pro, companies rated on Angie's List will have the same information that their potential clients are seeing."
ContractorCheck Pro consists of a detailed reporting of the contracting business's credit history and a copy of the ContractorCheck report that consumers receive when reviewing the contractor's business. With a subscription to ContractorCheck Pro, a contractor can proactively manage the business's profile by regularly checking both reports and seeing if action needs to be taken on any items that may affect the business's overall rating. Furthermore, by being able to review and understand the underlying business credit data that drives the ContractorCheck report, contractors can utilize it to their advantage to help acquire new customers by demonstrating the business's reliability.
"Making sure that your business has a solid credit report is as important as maintaining a positive credit score in your personal life. In fact, when creditors are reviewing the creditworthiness of a small business, or customers are deciding with whom they should do business (like deciding on a contractor), having a solid credit history becomes critical to that business' success," said Marc Kirshbaum, president, Experian's Business Information Services group. "ContractorCheck Pro gives contractors the resources they need to help manage their credit, as well as provide tools to help them continue to grow their businesses. We are delighted to work with Angie's List to make these services available to its members and the contractors they rate."
ContractorCheck Pro membership includes:
-- Unlimited access to ContractorCheck Pro (combining a detailed account of the business's credit report and the consumer ContractorCheck report)
-- E-mail alerts to inform contractors of any changes in the business credit report that may affect their rating, including new credit inquiries, late trade payments, or major events like liens, judgments and bankruptcies
-- Daily monitoring of Experian's most complete business credit report, powered by Experian's BizSource(SM) credit database
ContractorCheck Pro is $12.95 per month or $99 per year for unlimited access and monitoring. For more information, please visit http://www.contractorcheck.com/pro.
