New Generation Core(TM)2 Duo PICMG 1.3 Half-size CPU Card for DVR, Automation Markets
Taipei, Taiwan, July 25, 2007- AXIOMTEK, an Associate Member of the Intel® Communications Alliance (ICA), a community of communications and embedded developers and solution providers, is proud to launch a PICMG 1.3 half-size CPU card, the SHB210, which supports socket M Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo Mobile based processor and built-in Intel® 945GME+ICH7M-DH Express chipset to fit the high performance computing applications for today's demanding pace. The Intel® GMA 950 graphics core is built into the Intel® 945GME Express chipset which delivers powerful graphics performance and excellent visual quality. Utilizing with the latest Intel technologies, this PICMG 1.3 system host board is an ideal solution for DVR, medical equipment, industrial automation, process control, and network security market.
The PICMG 1.3 specification brings features and advantages of PCI Express to this industrial computing platform, offering powerful bandwidth and throughput, said Nelson Lu, Product Manager of AXIOMTEKs Industrial PC Division. Furthermore, with the up-to-date Intel® dual-core technology, the SHB210 is a high performance half-size slot CPU board with integrated graphics which is an excellent selection for the generic industrial automation and network market segments. System integrators are able to select this powerful SBC for their systems based on bandwidth, graphics, security, networking communications and audio requirements.
The SHB210 delivers outstanding system performance through high-bandwidth interfaces including PCI Express x16 graphics, PCI Express x1 I/O ports, four Serial ATA II, and six high speed USB 2.0 ports. With the Realtek RTL8111B Gigabit Ethernet controller, the CPU card offers PCI Express-based 10/100/1000 Ethernet connection which provides reliable and fast networking access. This PICMG 1.3 SHB express CPU card also features two DDR2 533/667 SODIMM sockets up to 3 Gb capacity, and two Serial ATA high-speed data transferring at up to 3 Gb/s. Besides, the half-size single board computer supports one 2 x 5-pin power connector for stand alone power on and off function. Other features include two serial ports (one RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485), two 5-pin wafer connectors for PS/2 mouse and keyboard, CompactFlash(TM) Type II socket, watchdog timer, and hardware monitoring function.
The SHB210 is fully compatible with AXIOMTEK's PICMG 1.3 half-size backplanes, the HAB205 and HAB208, which are designed to meet all requirements defined by the PICMG 1.3 standard and support a variety of PCI Express (PCIe) and PCI cards, offering system developers high performance and rich capability base boards for I/O intensive systems. We also have three industrial enclosures, the AX60552/AX60551/AX60501, to house the SHB210 and any customer's industrial integrations flexibly.
