Xycom Automation Announces High Performance PowerPC Based IndustryPack® Carrier
Saline, MI - August 14, 2002 - Xycom Automation, Inc., a subsidiary of Pro-face America, Inc. and a market leader in Industrial VMEbus products, is pleased to announce the addition of the TVME-8240, a PowerPC Processor based IndustryPack Carrier, to the VMEbus product offering.
Designed for applications in process control, telecommunications, and traffic control, the TVME-8240 VME CPU board features the highly integrated MPC8240 PowerPC micro-processor, a powerful DRAM controller and a PCI interface.
With four IndustryPack interfaces, the TVME-8240 is a powerful and flexible I/O solution and an ideal upgrade path for 680x0 VME CPU board users in a 6U, single slot format. Four major real-time operating systems are currently supported including VxWorks, Linux, pSOS+, and OS9.
