Colder Products Company Introduces New Panel Mount APC Coupling Body To Enhance Connection Flexibility and Convenience
St. Paul, MN - January 23, 2004 - Colder Products Company (CPC), the leading provider of controlled performance connections to industrial, biopharmaceutical, chemical, medical, and packaging markets, announces the global launch of a new set of panel mount coupling bodies for its APC product line. The new configuration provides added flexibility and mounting options to create secure connections for applications that include water filtration, distillation equipment, commercial dispensing equipment for water, ice cream, and juice, and analytical instrumentation.
Previously, APC coupling bodies only had the option of being attached to pipe ends or tubing that extended out from equipment. Unless equipment already had piping, coupling connections had to be made in-line. Depending on the application, in-line tubing could be inconvenient. The new panel mount coupling body enables tubing to be easily connected and disconnected from a panel during use and maintenance.
"The APC panel mount coupling body allows design engineers to create more elegant systems that are safe and secure," said Patrick Williams, Market and Product Planning Manager at Colder Products. "The new panel mount connection improves the ease of installation, replacement, and serviceability of equipment."
CPC offers 14 different configurations of the APC panel mount body, both valved and non-valved. Terminations include several sizes of hose barbs and CPC's ferruleless polytube compression fitting.
APC couplings incorporate a patented plastic thumb latch that allows quick, one-handed disconnects. An audible "click" confirms a secure connection.

A "D" flat on the panel threads helps facilitate coupling orientation in the panel to ensure uniformity. An optional gasket can also be used to seal the coupling against the face of the panel.
