Cosworth Group Wins Eight Year Partnership Deal with AEC

Aero Engine Controls Selects Engineering Specialist to Deliver Multi-Million Pound Contract

LONDON, November 18, 2010 - Cosworth Group has won an eight-year, multi-million pound contract with
aerospace engine control leader, Aero Engine Controls, a Rolls-Royce plc and Goodrich Corporation joint venture.

Cosworth Group will produce components for the engine control system of the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine which powers Boeing 787 and the Rolls-Royce XWB engine which powers the A350 - as part of the strategic manufacturing partnership.

Cosworth Group will manufacture the main casing for the Trent 1000 FADEC system. This complex component will be machined from a 100kg single solid piece of aluminium through a process which will take 22 hours and will produce a final item of just 7kg.

Aero Engine Controls, a joint venture between Rolls-Royce plc and Goodrich Corporation, is the latest in a line of blue-chip businesses to contract Cosworth to provide precision engineering and manufacturing services.

Annette Rothwell, Vice-President Supply Chain, said, "This supply contract represents a very significant development in Aero Engine Controls Supply Chain Transformation Journey. The relationship being developed between Aero Engine Controls and Cosworth is built upon both companies strong pedigrees of engineering excellence linked to high technology manufacturing capability. Working together in an environment of mutual support will enable us to reach new levels of competitiveness and customer service opening up future growth opportunities in the aerospace marketplace."

The UK-headquartered business, which continues to experience consistent double-digit revenue growth, has drawn on its proven Formula One(TM) experience to deliver the same solid results to the aerospace sector.

Cosworth Group Sales Director Jog Lall said being chosen by Aero Engine Controls was a proud moment for Cosworth.

"Aero Engine Controls is effectively making Cosworth an extension of
their existing manufacturing facilities. This partnership deal is symbolic of
the expansion we expect to continue at Cosworth."

Cosworth Group Chief Executive Officer, Tim Routsis said the contract was
living proof of the success the company's diversification strategy was able
to deliver.

"While the UK focuses on avoiding a double-dip recession, this contract
further establishes Cosworth's position within the manufacturing sector," he
said.
