Performance Products Group addresses global growth in commercial vehicle market
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Cooper Standard's Performance Products Group is showcasing its commercial vehicle expertise and product portfolio at the 2013 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Ky. The company's sealing and exterior systems, fluid delivery systems, thermal and emissions systems, and anti-vibration systems will be displayed in booth 40564 during the show taking place at the Kentucky Expo Center from March 21 to 23.
Cooper Standard's Performance Products Group is built upon the expertise and technology of Cooper Standard to serve adjacent markets, such as commercial vehicle, off-highway and other specialty markets. To accelerate further growth in the commercial vehicle segment, Cooper Standard has created a dedicated website (www.cooperstandardperformance.com) for markets served by the group. In addition, they have a dedicated sales, engineering and support structure for the group, as well as an industry-specific production facility. The group currently supplies production components from all four of its products groups to major commercial vehicle OEM customers.
"By leveraging our established product portfolio, engineering capabilities and manufacturing expertise, Cooper Standard is building upon our current industry relationships to further grow in the global commercial vehicle market," Keith Stephenson, chief operating officer, Cooper Standard. "We're dedicated to applying our established knowledge to provide the products that OEMs and suppliers need to meet the emerging market demands, as well as the performance and reliability requirements of their customers."
For example, to address commercial vehicle fuel economy and emissions requirements, the Performance Products Group's thermal and emissions systems reduce weight, lower emissions and improve fuel economy. Additionally, the company's agrifiber seals made from renewable natural fibers utilize the latest in environmentally conscious materials to reduce a vehicle's carbon footprint.
During the MATS, Cooper Standard's Performance Products Group is displaying key commercial vehicle products, such as its innovative quick connect with sensor, coolant pumps, polycarbonate Class-A trim, Polycarbonate headlamp lenses and exhaust gas recirculation valves and coolers. Additionally, the Cooper Standard / Brad Keselowski Racing #29 racing transporter, as well as #29 driver and youngest National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing Camping World Truck Series winner, Ryan Blaney, will be onsite Thursday and Friday at the company's second booth located in the conference's outdoor exhibit (booth #91480).
