Interroll Introduces High Torque Brushless Motor Conveyor Roller
WILMINGTON , N.C. (February 10, 2003) - Interroll Corp., a leader in the materials handling industry announced the enhancement of its 8000 Series RollerDrive BL (brushless) motorized roller. The DC powered roller incorporates a new high torque brushless motor into the roller design for safe and convenient motorized conveyor systems. This superior, compact 24VDC motor provides the ability to move heavier loads faster.
"Interroll has pioneered RollerDrive technology, enabling a safer and more efficient alternative to standard chain, line-shaft and sprocket conveyor systems," said RollerDrive Product Manager, Ken Bobick. "This motor upgrade answers the demand for heavier load and faster speed capability in packaging handling and other materials handling applications."
RollerDrive BL rollers may be paired with Interroll's DriveControl zero pressure accumulation (ZPA) control cards for greater control or simply with a PLC. They are available in lengths of 10.0" to 45.00". Roller tubes are 1.90" diameter constructed of 0.065" (1.7mm) thick galvanized carbon steel or aluminum and are available with optional PVC or polyurethane sleeving. O-ring grooves may be formed into the tube for use in driving idler rollers. The RollerDrive's gearbox is factory aligned and permanently lubricated. Standard features of RollerDrive BL rollers include:
o 62 in. -lbs. of start-up torque for speeds up to 33FPM, 23 in.-lbs. start-up torque for up to 200FPM.
o Ability to move different load sizes at the same speed.
o Ability to use existing wiring during retrofits or upgrades.
o A power cord with a pluggable connector for easy installation.
o A hexagonal spring-loaded steel shaft for quick assembly.
o Spacer housings to prevent rubbing against the frame.
o An end housing assembly with precision type 6203 bearings.
o Torque tube assembly for internal gearbox support.
o Non-slip drive with high-density elastomeric ring between output shaft and gearbox.
