Control Stations Have Silicon Gasket & Corrosive-Resistant Body for Use in Wash Down Areas


SKOKIE, IL, April 18, 2002 - Appleton, a member of the EGS Electrical Group, offers its Div. 2 Contender Control Stations for wash down areas, and other damp, corrosive locations. Die-cast aluminum covers, an epoxy power coat, captive stainless steel screws, and neoprene gaskets are featured for protection against water ingress and corrosion-resistance. This design can withstand long-term exposure to caustic chemicals, salt water, as well as the day-to-day knocks of industrial use.

The Div. 2 Contender offers pushbutton or switched control of remote motors, plus an optional pilot light that provides visual assurance that the electrical operation is being carried out. End-users can select from a wide variety of options in pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights to "tailor-make" each control station for the specific needs of an application.

The Div. 2 Contender complies with NEC/CEC requirements for Class I, Div. 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zone 1, Group IIC; Class II; and Class III. It is rated to meet IEC requirements for Ex edm IIC, IP66 locations. Models with pilot lights are rated IP56. Cover bodies are UL Classified to interchange with Crouse-Hinds EDS bodies.
