Diversified Technology, Inc. Introduces Intel® Pentium® M based ETX Module

The eTX-Lx15 addresses customizable embedded requirements for the medical, military, and industrial control markets.

RIDGELAND, MS - April 20, 2004 - Diversified Technology, Inc. announces the release of the eTX-Lx15 Embedded Computer Module based on the Embedded Technology Extended form factor (ETX). Addressing the deeply embedded markets, the eTX-Lx15 module features core processing, memory, and I/O for application-specific base boards. DTI can design a customizable personality board which will provide the I/O connectivity and full implementation of the PCI and ISA bus architectures.

"DTI continues to respond to the smaller form factor requirements of the embedded market," noted Steve Givens, Diversified's V.P. of P Engineering. "The eTX-Lx15 combines high processing power, enhanced video, and faster bandwidths in a package that address time-to-market and customer specific I/O.

Embedded markets for the eTX-Lx15 include COTS/Military, Gaming, Medical, Automation, Test & Measurement, Transportation, and Telecommunications. The processor module is based on the Intel® 82855GME chipset and offers configurations with the Intel® Pentium® M processor at speeds from 1.1GHz to 1.7GHz. The chipset and processor are components supported by Intel's Embedded Architecture Group offering long production life for an applications extended goals. The processor module combined with a FlexATA-compliant I/O baseboard will also enable providers to meet "quick turn" time-to-market demands.

About the eTX-Lx15
The eTX-Lx15 Embedded Computer Module, part of DTI's ETX embedded product offering, features the Intel® Pentium® M processor, Intel® 855GME chipset, and up to 1GB PC1600/2100 DDR SDRAM on a single 200-pin SODIMM socket. The integration of Intel's Extreme Graphics 2 controller provides enhanced 2D/3D performance with up to 64MB dynamic video memory, dual channel LVDS, and simultaneous digital flat panel and CRT output. Coupled with Intel's ICH4-M, the eTX-Lx15 ECM offers excellent AC'97 2.1 compliant audio quality, 10 Base-T/100 Base-TX Ethernet and Ultra ATA/100 EIDE controllers which support fast data/file transfer. Four Universal Serial Buses (USB2.0), two serial ports, and one shared, selectable parallel/floppy port round out the basic board.

DTI's eTX-Lx15 addresses embedded requirements for the medical, COTS military/defense, automotive, transportation, gaming, test & measurement and Internet markets. The board combined with the FlexATA-compliant I/O baseboard supports time-to-market sensitive applications. The small thin form factor and the scaleable performance configurations support both the PCI and ISA bus architectures.

The eTX-Lx15 AMI BIOS, in field upgradeable Flash, supports software Ethernet option ROM enable/disable, video override, serial/parallel port re-mapping/disable, keyboard disable, and console redirection. Other features include hardware monitor (input voltages, temperature), programmable two-stage watchdog timer, battery-backed real time clock, power fail circuit, SMBIOS v2.3.1 and S.M.A.R.T. support.

Highly configurable. Advanced Power Management. Embedded application robustness. Long production life. Diversified Technology's eTX-Lx15 industrial ECM is a versatile processor solution with its System-On-Module (SOM) design to meet the cost effective and space limited requirements of the embedded market.

Pricing and Availability
The eTX-Lx15 is priced at $945.00 for a 1.6GHz Pentium M Processor. Production shipments will begin in June 2004.
