Compression Wrapping System can process upto 5 packs per/min.

Press Release Summary:

Developed to wrap foam parts in compressed state, Inline Automatic Compression Wrapping System compressed starts operation by manually loading stacks of foam parts onto Infeed conveyor. Foam parts are advanced to centering/measuring conveyor and then advanced onto sealer Infeed/Top compression conveyor. Pack is compressed in its relaxed state and compression is maintained while being fed through web of film, across seal jaw, and into seal position.

EDL's Inline Automatic Compression Wrapping System

"EDL provides technologies and engineering to configure systems that meet special
and often unique customer requirements. We listen, study, design, and deliver
value."

EDL has developed a new Compression Wrapping System for a customer to compress
foam parts. The system takes the foam parts and wraps them in a compressed state.
The application can accommodate a large size range of products without changeover.

This system operates by manually loading stacks of foam parts onto the Infeed
Conveyor. The foam parts are advanced to the Centering/Measuring Conveyor where
they are centered and measured. Next, the parts are advanced onto the sealer Infeed/
Top Compression Conveyor. The pack in its relaxed state is compressed and
compression is maintained while being fed through the web of film, across the seal jaw,
and into the seal position. The product is advanced to the side seal position.
Compression is maintained as the side seal jaw lowers and seals the top and bottom
layers of film together. The pack is then advanced onto the second side seal position.
Compression is released as the pack is advanced onto the Exit Conveyor.

The product packaged in this case is foam parts, however, there are many other
products that can use this approach.
