Makita's New 7-1/2 Inch Four Pole Slide Compound Miter Saw for a Dead-On Accurate Cut
July 1, 2005 - La Mirada, CALIF. - Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories, is excited to announce the release of its new 7-1/2" four pole slide compound miter saw, model LS0714. This new miter saw features a huge 11-3/4" cutting capacity and only weighs 27.6 lbs. which is ideal for any professional working with finish carpentry, molding, trim work, flooring, interior remodeling, as well as many other woodworking applications.
The LS0714 comes equipped with four steel poles designed to support the motor head for a deeper cutting capacity and four linear ball bearings to ensure smooth, accurate and vibration-free cutting. The precision-machined aluminum base supports large stock with a maximum cutting capacity of 11-3/4" and is capable of cutting 2 x 12 dimensional lumber at 90° and 2 x 8 at 45°.
This new miter saw has a powerful 10 AMP motor that delivers 6,000 RPM with 9 positive stops at 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 45° right or left and 0° for the most common miter cuts. Model LS0714 also features a double sliding mechanism for a lighter, more compact design, weighing only 27.6 lbs. and measuring only 26-3/8" in overall length. For increased durability, a carrying handle is conveniently located for jobsite portability.
