The New Multimodule Z3280/.../S



The new Multimodule Z3280/.../S combines two to six modified Compact Shot nozzles Z3210/... in a minimum of space. Through the special modular design, it is possible to work with cavity-to-cavity distances that are unattainable with a conventional hot runner system. In addition, it offers a degree of flexibility in the arrangement of the gating points that a traditional multiple nozzle does not.

The Multimodule can also be used individually like a central nozzle.
The main advantages only become evident, however, in combination with a hot runner. In this configuration, it is easier to build manifold moulds thanks to the possibility of grouping cavities together in clusters. The use of this module means there is no need for a complicated second runner level in the manifold block. A further advantage of this module is that it enables multi-point gating on one article. This saves cycle time and is of benefit with articles needing true-running / balanced characteristics.

The principle of the Z3280/.../S provides the possibility of controlling all the gates individually and is extremely maintenance-friendly, because the modular structure allows replacement of the nozzle tip, heating and heat sensor from the front. The position of the heating outlets is optional, making mould design and construction more flexible. With the two sizes of the Multimodule Z3280/.../S , between two and six gating points can be used on a pitch circle diameter of 13 - 42 mm.
