Press Release Summary:
Powered by Yanmar engine, models Z17/Z27/Z35/Z45/Z80 are true zero-tail-swing machines. Design eliminates cab overhang beyond tracks in all directions, allowing operation directly against wall or other obstruction without causing damage to structure or machine. To enhance engine performance, hydraulic system incorporates 2 variable pumps and 2 gear pumps. Oil flows are efficiently combined, redirected to where the flow is needed, to allow for simultaneous operation without loss of hydraulic power.

All-New Gehl Compact Excavators; Compact Performance in 1.7 to 8.0 Metric Tons
WEST BEND, WISCONSIN - Gehl, a leader in compact equipment for agriculture and construction markets, is pleased to introduce an all-new line of compact excavators to the North American market.
The new Gehl Excavator range consists of five all-new models; the Z17, Z27, Z35, Z45 and Z80. Each model is built around a powerful and reliable Yanmar engine; Tier IV on the Z17 and Interim Tier IV on the Z27, Z35, Z45 and Z80. The hydraulic system is designed to enhance engine performance, resulting in a more efficient system. These models are true zero-tail-swing machines, eliminating cab overhang beyond the tracks in all directions. This allows the machine to operate directly against a wall or other obstruction without causing damage to the structure or machine.
The hydraulic system incorporates two variable pumps and two gear pumps. The oil flows are efficiently combined, redirected to where the flow is needed. This allows for simultaneous operation without loss of hydraulic power. The Z80 excavator adds the ECO mode feature. This mode reduces engine RPM by 10% without sacrificing power when activated, saving fuel when full speed is not necessary. The mode is easily activated and deactivated with a simple toggle switch.
