Traverse Networks adds Voicemail Direct Feature

CallConnect Now Enabled to Leave Messages Directly to Voicemail

FREMONT, Calif., March 7 / -- Traverse Networks, (traversenetworks.com), an innovator of mobility solutions for enterprise voice systems, today announced Voicemail Direct, a compelling new feature available as a fully integrated component of Traverse Networks CallConnect enterprise mobility software. Voicemail Direct enables remote users to access the corporate voicemail system and directly leave a voice message with a selected contact without needing to first call the contact. The feature complements CallConnect's Visual Voicemail solution by enabling a user to easily manage outgoing voicemail messages as well as received voicemail messages using a mobile device.

"Voicemail Direct was developed in response to customer feedback indicating that it's very common for a person to call someone hoping to get voicemail so that a message can be quickly and easily delivered," explained Chris Hoover, Traverse Networks' director of product management and marketing. "With Voicemail Direct integrated into Traverse Networks CallConnect, an employee can use their mobile phone to search a corporate directory and call a voicemail box directly, without interrupting the called person or engaging in unnecessary conversation. With this service, voicemail is more than a passive backup in case of unavailability; rather, it is a new type of active communication tool for enhancing productivity."

Traverse Networks' new Voicemail Direct feature rounds out the feature set of CallConnect with Visual Voicemail software. CallConnect is an advanced voice communication management solution that turns a mobile phone into a powerful "remote control" for a desk phone, enabling mobile workers to visually manage calls made to their Cisco IP-PBX based office phone, to view and listen to voicemail displayed in an email-like inbox, and to search the corporate directory and remotely initiate calls from the desk phone.
