Connect RS-232/422/485 Devices to the Web

DGH announces the A3000 Serial to Ethernet converter. The A3000 is a gateway between an RS-232/422/485 serial port and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port. Serial ports are widely used for communication in industrial measuring and monitoring equipment. Ethernet is a defacto standard in process control, building and plant automation.

The A3000 easily connects any serial device to the World Wide Web without any modification of the user's software. It allows any host computer access to the serial port as a virtual COM port via an IP address. It also acts as an Internet server allowing direct connection to applications via the serial port. The A3000 communicates at baud rates from 50bps to 460kbps.

The A3000 provides an easy and economical way to monitor and control data from any place via the Internet. The included software automatically finds A3 000 devices in the network and allows the A3000 to be configured via WEB browser or serial port. The A3000 is packaged in a 4.5" X 2.85" X 1.0" steel case that can be wall-mounted. An optional mounting kit allows DIN-rail mounting. The case is CE and FCC marked and contains both RJ45 and DB-9 connectors. The RS232/422/485 interface is switch-selectable. The A3000 is supplied with: AC Power supply adapter (either 110V or 220V), Serial Null-Modem adapter, CD-ROM with driver and configuration software.

The A3000 is priced at $180.00 each and delivery is 1 week ARO.
