Edwards' New Intercom and Public Address Systems Improve Efficiency While Ensuring Safety & Security

7000 Series Combines Systems for Integrated Communications Network

CHESHIRE, Conn., March 25, 2003 - Edwards Signaling has introduced integrated intercom and public address systems for communicating emergency, evacuation or status messages in commercial, industrial or institutional applications. The new systems improve efficiency and productivity while ensuring safety and security.

The Edwards intercom system allows complete paging and communication between phones and intercom stations. The system also features industrial intercom speaker zones, clock and program, dial-in activation, system supervision options, emergency tone distribution and signaling output circuits. The intercom devices are available as rugged industrial stations or handsets, or as an attractive two-piece telephone that is ideal for any commercial or institutional environment.

Edwards one-way public address systems feature input and output devices, mixer pre-amplifiers and power amplifiers. Input devices include a desk microphone for voice communication, an AM/FM tuner cassette player for continuous system music, and a tone generator that produces seven distinct tones with pitch control.

Utilizing Edwards' powerful 7000 Series intercom system, these notification methods can be brought together to create an integrated communication system employing intercom, public address and synchronized time throughout an entire multi-building facility. The 7000 Series offers the combined features of system, zone, PBX paging, synchronized time, multiple input sources, and real-time system status display. The integrated system can be connected to visual, voice, audible and textual signaling devices to achieve a total signaling communications solution.
